Thrive is a dynamic programme based on Speech & Drama techniques that helps students in school and in life.
Build real skills that shape how children and older students shows up in the world.
How it works
Thrive runs as a once a week, 30 minute in-school programme over the school day. We've designed the structure to be simple and flexible for schools. The lesson plan focuses on a different aspect each week, but has a consistent structure and is built on skills learned in the previous lessons.
Simple Scheduling
Thrive handles all timetabling. We group students by year level and create a schedule that works around your school day. We are very flexible and work closely with our schools to ensure minimal disruption to learning.
Proven Approach
We use research-backed methods, small classes and engaging sessions that develop critical thinking and communication skills.
Our programme is designed to be engaging, energetic and fun! Parents and teachers see the difference in how students carry themselves and interact with others. Students can bring relevant school work to the classes, using them to enhance their understanding and achievement in school – supporting literacy, and improving language skills and critical thinking.
There is a clear stucture across the term, to build skills progressively. Students engage in confidence-building games and speaking exercises, storytelling and presenting ideas, debating exercises, activities to develop quick thinking, listening skills, manners and teamwork.
Our teachers establish supportive environments where students tackle increasingly complex challenges, developing capabilities step by step.
Science shows the important 'Qs' of intelligence are all malleable. Our programmes work to develop the emotional, intellectual and creative together: a vital combination for success in an increasingly digital world.
Students walk out of each session with tangible skills they can use today. The confidence they build carries into their classrooms, their homes, and their friendships.
Our structured approach adapts to each student's unique learning needs and potential. You can join in any term – it won’t affect your child’s learning progression.
Term 1
Term One focuses on building confidence and strong foundations. Students work on poetry, storytelling, improvisation, and clear speaking, with an emphasis on confidence, listening skills, manners, and sharing ideas in a supportive group.
Term 2
In Term Two, students develop characterisation skills through monologues, role play, and creative scenes. The focus is on vocal expression, movement, teamwork, and growing confidence.
Term 3
Term Three centres on public speaking and reading aloud. Students practise projection, clarity, expression, and organising their ideas through speeches, storytelling, and performance activities.
Term 4
Term Four brings everything together as students refine their skills and prepare polished pieces. There is an optional exam opportunity in Term Four, with exam work developed steadily across the year, allowing students to feel confident and well prepared.
