1. Thrive is an ongoing programme that grows with your child. Enrolment automatically continues from term to term unless written notice of withdrawal is received before the start of the new term.
2.1 Fees are charged on a ‘per term’ basis, and will be issued via email during the holiday break before a new term begins. They must be paid in full according to the date of required payment stated on your invoice.
2.2 A late payment fee of $25 will be charged to overdue invoices and if necessary, lessons may be suspended or cancelled by us and costs of recovery of any overdue amount charged to you.
2.3 Any costs incurred in recovering unpaid fees, including debt collection fees, legal costs and associated expenses, will be payable by the account holder.
2.4 Payment plans may be offered at Thrive's discretion and must be agreed to in writing.
3.1 Thrive runs an 8 week term and guarantees a minimum of eight lessons per term.
3.2 Public holidays, teacher-only days, school camps, school productions, sports events, school closures and other planned interruptions have been considered in our programme structure and do not automatically entitle students to additional lessons, refunds or credits.
3.3 If Thrive is unable to deliver the guaranteed minimum number of lessons due to teacher illness, staffing issues, venue unavailability or other circumstances within our control, Thrive will provide a make-up lesson, credit or refund.
3.4 No refunds, credits or make-up lessons are provided for student absences due to illness, holidays, family commitments or other personal circumstances.
3.5 Where a teacher is unavailable, Thrive will endeavour to provide a suitable relief teacher. If this is not possible and the lesson contributes to the student receiving fewer than eight lessons for the term, a make-up lesson, credit or refund will be provided.
3.6 Where lessons cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond Thrive's reasonable control, including but not limited to school closures, natural disasters, public health events, government restrictions or venue unavailability, Thrive will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements but cannot guarantee replacement lessons.
4.1 Fees are non-refundable once a term has commenced except in exceptional circumstances approved by Thrive.
4.2 Requests for refunds due to serious illness, injury or bereavement must be made in writing and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
4.3 No refunds or credits will be given for missed lessons due to holidays or voluntary absences.
5.1 Thrive takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe learning environment and to identify and manage foreseeable risks.
5.2 Participation in Thrive activities is voluntary. Students may choose not to participate in any activity they feel uncomfortable with and should speak with their teacher if this occurs.
5.3 Parents and caregivers must advise Thrive of any relevant medical conditions, behavioural needs, allergies or learning support requirements that may affect a student's participation.
6.1 Parents or caregivers are responsible for ensuring their child arrives at and departs from lessons safely.
6.2 Parents must notify Thrive of any alternative collection arrangements, including walking home, returning to after-school care or being collected by another adult.
6.3 Students are required to remain in the designated collection area until collected or until approved departure arrangements have been followed.
6.4 Teachers will supervise students for a reasonable period following lessons but cannot provide extended childcare services.
By enrolling your child in Thrive Speech and Drama lessons you understand that there are risks associated with involvement in after-school events and that these risks cannot be completely eliminated.
You understand that we will identify any foreseeable risks or hazards and implement correct management procedures to eliminate or minimise those hazards.
We are always available at Thrive to answer questions about our lessons. Enrolment in our lessons means you recognise that participation in Thrive Speech and Drama lessons is voluntary and that your child understands that they may withdraw from any activities during Thrive Speech and Drama lessons if they ever feel unsafe, and can do so by talking with their teacher.
7.1 Thrive may occasionally use photographs, videos or recordings from lessons, performances, workshops or events for promotional purposes including social media, websites, newsletters and printed material.
7.2 Thrive will only use photographs, videos or recordings where consent has been provided through the enrolment process.
8.1 Examination fees and special event fees are additional to standard tuition fees unless otherwise stated.
8.2 Examination entries are subject to the terms and deadlines of the examining organisation.
8.3 Once examination entries have been submitted, examination fees may not be refundable.
9.1 Thrive collects and stores personal information for the purposes of enrolment, lesson administration, communication, invoicing, examinations and student welfare.
9.2 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for programme delivery or where required by law.
10.1 Submission of an enrolment form and attendance at lessons constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
10.2 Thrive reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions and associated Policies from time to time. The current version will be available on request of via the Thrive website.
